SOBER
I’ve found a new addiction,
But it’s accompanied by numerous restrictions.
It’s like high school again.
I want to be more than your friend.
I dove into a moment of high,
My limit is farther than the sky.
The mere thought of touching something so forbidden,
Is weighing heavily on parts of me hidden.
The conflicting lyrics echoing in my ears,
Of bittersweet songs and their prosed peers,
The intensity is dying though,
And I’m almost sober now.
The wants still flow,
But it’s not as good somehow.
